David trained in Medicine in Southampton, before undertaking a clinical Fellowship in Toronto. He came to London for a period of research and finished both his Critical Care and Anaesthesia training in London. He now works as an ICU Consultant and Anaesthetist at University College Hospitals London, where his interests include, optimisation for high-risk surgery and cardiopulmonary interactions in critical illness. David co-founded the Princess Grace Intensive Care unit, which he now co-directs.
