Ramon Tahmassebi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery. He treats a wide range of conditions in the hand, wrist and elbow including sports injuries, arthritis, nerve problems and tendon injuries. His NHS base is at Kings College Hospital London where he has developed special interests in keyhole wrist surgery and the treatment of fractures.

Ramon is a graduate of University College London Medical School and undertook his early surgical training at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals. He specialised in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery via The Royal London Training Programme during which time he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He pursued his interest in hand surgery and was awarded further prestigious Fellowship posts at The Sydney Hand Unit in Australia, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Kings College Hospital London. He joined the Specialist Register for Trauma rthopaedic surgery in 2012.

Ramon also remains involved in research and is committed to the training of junior surgeons. He is the director of the FRCS Hand Surgery course at Kings College Hospital and regularly contributes to postgraduate surgical training across London, the UK and internationally.
