Biography

Sherief Elsayed is Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals. Brighton and Sussex Medical School is now one of the most popular medical schools in the United Kingdom, with some 15 applicants for every place.

Mr Elsayed graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in the Year 2000, and was subsequently one of the youngest ever graduates of Medicine in the United Kingdom.

Mr Elsayed undertook his general Trauma and Orthopaedic Training on the prestigious Nottingham rotation. Though he is trained in the generality of Trauma and Orthopaedics, further training at the world-renowned Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery, Queen's Medical Centre (Nottingham) has focussed his practice exclusively to pathologies affecting the Spine. His training included stints with some of the leading lights of Spinal Surgery.

Mr Elsayed is the Founder and Course Director for NSpine, an internationally renowned course which provides education for numerous specialists as well as a day tailored specifically for patients and their relatives. His efforts have seen him become an Ambassador for the City of Nottingham.

Mr Elsayed is also an International Editor for the seminal Orthopaedic text, Miller Review of Orthopaedics (6th ed), and is the co-convenor of the Miller Review Course in the United Kingdom, now established in its 6th year as a leading Orthopaedic Review Course, attracting delegates from around the World.

Mr Elsayed has contributed to a number of books, journal articles, and has presented at national and international courses and conferences.
