Ademola graduated from Guy's, King's and St Thomas Hospitals Medical school (now part of King's College London) in 2002. He completed a basic surgical training rotation in Hertfordshire, becoming a member of the Royal College of Surgeons England, with a focus on the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions across all age groups. Several years experience as a registrar in Trauma and Orthopaedics gave him first hand knowledge of the surgical and non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions; it was during this time that he first became involved in sports medicine volunteering for national sporting and charity events in Europe. He completed his specialist training in Sports and Exercise Medicine in the London Deanery rotating through a number of teaching hospitals including the Defence Military Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court. Ademola currently provides a NHS community musculoskeletal medicine service for Camden and Kensington and Chelsea CCG and has a regular musculoskeletal ultrasound-scanning list at University College Hospital London where he is an honorary consultant.He is the lead team doctor for Saracens RFC, England U16 Rugby team and Chief Medical Officer for the Fireflies Tour cycle ride. He was the resident sports medicine consultant at the inaugural World Club 7s tournament in London and led a field-of-play team during the London 2012 Olympics. He sits on the RFU Medical and Sports Science Technical Advisory Group. He co-authored the NHS document 'Sports and Exercise Medicine ' A fresh approach' which reflects his belief in the importance of timely management of musculoskeletal conditions to get you back to your best as soon as possible.He has a particular interest in contact sports related injuries and the long-term impact of sporting injuries/life after sports.
