The Urgent Care Centre for medical emergency and minor injuries is the latest in a range of fully integrated specialist clinical centres being launched by The Princess Grace to provide expert diagnosis and treatment.
Already opened at the hospital are:
- the Breast Screening, Diagnostic & Treatment Centre, offering screening with full field digital mammography, diagnosis, treatment and aftercare;
- the Brain & Spine Centre, a new comprehensive, integrated service to diagnose and manage neurological disorders, and
- the London Prostate Centre. with its advanced High Intensity Focused Ultrasound equipment amongst its full-range of treatment options
Other specialist centres are being planned and developed by The Princess Grace Hospital for the current year.
"In each case, we have consulted with medical colleagues, including GPs, and other individuals before progressing with these successful centres that do much to break down the artificial divisions that have existed between medical specialisms and so improve the overall service provided to our patients", explains Susan Smith, chief executive of The Princess Grace Hospital.
