Diagnostic Imaging
Introduction
Diagnostic Imaging at the Princess Grace provides a state of the art service, located across three sites. This large and dynamic department provides an excellent and fundamental service both to our outpatients and inpatients. Anne Fitzpatrick our Imaging Manager manages the department and Prof. Clive Bartram is the Medical Director.
In February 1988, Princess Caroline of Monaco opened the Radiology Department at The Princess Grace Hospital which is situated in the wing named after her and connected to the main hospital.
The Radiology Department comprises of eight diagnostic rooms and a Computerised Tomography (CT) scanner with associated changing rooms and waiting areas. The full-time staff includes radiographers, nurses, receptionists, secretaries and porters.
Recently, a second digital screening room has been installed enabling patients to be examined with the lowest radiation dose possible. The department has two Acuson Ultrasound machines, both with the latest Acoustic Response Technology (Art). This exemplifies our commitment to provide the very best radiological service available.
