The London Breast Institute provides the following:
- BUPA accredited diagnostic centre
- 2 Full field digital mammography units and stereotactic biopsy
- Breast Ultrasound
- Suros vacuum – assisted biopsy system
- 4 accredited radiographers
- 5 consultant breast radiologists
- 3 breast surgeons
- Clinical nurse specialist support
The unit has two full-field digital mammography units linked to computer aided detection (CAD). Stereotactic and core biopsies and localisations of non-palpable lesions can be performed under mammographic control. The unit also provides breast ultrasound to assist in biopsies and localisations of palpable lesions, together with bone densitometry for osteoporosis scanning.
