How we are regulated
We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and inspected regularly against the Department of Health’s national minimum standards for independent healthcare (2002).
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care, whether provided by NHS, local authorities, private companies or voluntary organisations. You can read its report of our annual inspection on the CQC website.
We are proud of our accreditation to internationally recognised quality frameworks of Healthcare Accreditation and Quality Unit (HAQU) ISO 9001:2000.
HAQU is a quality management process enabling healthcare organisations to examine themselves critically against a nationally recognised framework of organisational standards. The HAQU programme links to other national and international quality programmes and regulations including ISO9001:2000 and the National Minimum Care Standards.
Annually, we attain the Hospitality Assured status from the Institute of Hospitality. This is a prestigious, internationally recognised, industry-specific standard for delivering service and business excellence in the hospitality industry. Achieving this status every year since 2006 is testament to our dedication to customer service.
