About us

40 years of clinical excellence

This year The Princess Grace Hospital is celebrating 40 years of providing patients with unrivalled clinical expertise and excellence.


Since the grand opening in 1977 by The Princess Grace Consort of Monaco, the hospital has celebrated numerous 'firsts' incluing more recently the UK's first assisted total knee replacement with the MAKO robot.

The hospital was designed by Richard Seifert, who also designed Tower 42 and Centrepoint.


In october 1983, Princess Caroline of Monaco also visited the hospital and opened our Intensive Care Unit


HCA Healthcare, the worlds largest healthcare provider acquires The Princess Grace Hospital from PPP Healthcare Limited, and the Devonshire Hospital (now our Specialist Orthopaedic Centre and outpatients facilities).
